KCHUNG is all-volunteer run. There is a coordinating committee that meets once a month (usually the second sunday of the month at 7pm in the studio lounge, check the events calendar to confirm). These meetings are open to anyone interested. Through practice, several roles have emerged (self-identified):

the general manager oversees the basic operations of the station. responsibilities include:

  • introducing newcomers to kchung
  • working with the minister of eternal opacity to coordinate staff meetings
  • managing email listservs and sublist
  • organizing station manager trainings
  • working with Scheduling, Engineering & the Station Manager Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the station
  • following up with people who miss their shows / don't find subs ("schedule patrol")
  • chrysanthe and laura are our current GM. contact: generalmanager@kchungradio.org

The minister of eternal opacity

  • michal is our current minister of eternal opacity. contact: michal@kchungradio.org
  • organizes staff meetings, human directory of resources and projects, contact if you don't know who to contact for something.
  • also, provides water, and physical supplies for the space, contact if you want to help or have questions or comments.

The Volunteer Coordinator

Locus Lordess

  • Oversees the physical space of KCHUNG
  • Facilitates a monthly cleaning service
  • Coordinates cleaning and decluttering
  • Designates chores for volunteers to help maintain the space
  • Point person for art installations, murals, etc
  • Keeps media organized
  • Ensures safety precautions such as hallway lighting, fire extinguishers, fire escape etc
  • Helps keep the feeling of the space inviting and inspiring
  • Contact Alina radionongrata@kchungradio.org if you want to help with the space makeover, give your opinion on ways you would like to see it improved as well as ways that work best as they are.
  • Also contact me if you want to help de-cluttering, have a truck or van to haul away furniture or pick up new (to us) furniture, donate furnishings or decorations, kitchen utensils, sundries etc.

The PR coordinator

  • evan is our current PR coordinator. contact: pr@kchungradio.org
  • answers press requests coming into kchung (different from publicity / newsletter).

The events coordinator

  • mike is our current events coordinator. contact: events@kchungradio.org
  • sends out kchung's newsletter to all kchung lists and anyone who has subscribed via the website. currently bi-monthly.
  • this role is open to contributions from any volunteers interested in helping out.

The Station Manager Manager

  • tim is our current station manager manager. contact: stationmanagermanager@kchungradio.org
  • provides support to the station managers, trains, coordinates with other working groups, communicates changes to station practices and policies, maintains the station managers’ manual, sends out tips and outlines “best practices” for station managers.

Studio Checker

  • check all inputs and levels in the studio, make sure all settings are correct and nothing is broken, and make a report to the #engineering slack channel with any updates. can be done as part of starting or ending a broadcast. training / a checklist of what to look for can be made available, no experience necessary, and no need to fix things, necessarily - just reporting things is very helpful.
  • andy is currently doing this!

Most internal communication happens via slack. if you would like to join KCHUNG's slack, email any of the above or contact@kchungradio.org. anyone who is currently on KCHUNG's slack should be able to invite you.

some discussion channels that are active in day-to-day operating of KCHUNG:

  • #kchung-org (the above-mentioned coordinating committee that meets in person once a month)
  • #station-log (message board for keeping track of what is happening in the studio - any broken equipment, no-shows, news of the day. how's it going?)
  • #engineering (working group that tries to fix things before they break)

Joe will probably get to be the Marshal in the hometown Christmas Parade...no way on earth will he be charged with anything. It seems to me, in his area, iit's a great idea to claim seeledff-nse when you see someone robbing a NEIGHBOR'S home. It's worse than a shame, it's scary.

I get observed that in the world today, video games would be the latest pattern with children of ages. Many times it could be difficult to drag your son or daughter away through the aciteitivs. If you want the ideal of each worlds, there are lots of educational video gaming activities regarding kids. Interesting post.

one of my favorite things to freeze is shredded meat of ANY kind. whether it’s leftovers from a potroast, a pork shoulder, or taco chicken, in the freezer it goes! I can pull it out for paninis, salads, enchiladas, or even to top baked potatoes. it’s such a versatile, great way to stretch an alrayda-eesy meal into something else fun and new!

Impotent gents never ever exceeirnped it so good. Viagra pioneered the oral treatment method for Impotence. Along with the baton, it seems, has become transferred to Cialis. Between, Levitra also built its presence felt. But Cialis may be the long run drug which includes the earth on its toes.
