Awesome! Off they go to find a hive and make some honey! I had a similar yet more frnihtenigg experience a few years ago. I was sitting on a terrace overlook when all of a sudden a migrating swarm of bees rose up over the railing and flew right at me. Thousands of them. It was like I was caught in a river stream. They just did their thing, flying past me and circling me like I was just a big obstacle in the way or something. Later, I found them clustered in a tree much like what you saw.
